A 32-year-old married woman was allegedly gang-raped by two men in front of her three children at her house in Bindapur here on Sunday. The accused have been arrested.

Neighbours barged into her house

According to the police, the incident took place when the complainant was sleeping in her house. Her husband was out for work on night shift. Two men, Santosh and Roshan, in their twenties and neighbours of the victim, came to her house and rang the door bell.

One of her children opened the door and the accused barged into the house where they took turns to rape the woman. Before leaving the house, they threatened the victim and her children of dire consequences if they told anyone about the incident.

Later, the victim along with her husband approached the local police and after a medical examination confirmed rape, a case of gang-rape was registered against the duo.

Teenager raped by uncle

In another incident, a 13-year-old girl has accused her uncle of allegedly raping her for the past one year. In her complaint, the girl said the uncle, who is married to her aunt, would threaten to leave her if she objected. The victim approached the police on Tuesday. She told the police that that after her father's death around five years ago, her uncle and aunt (father’s sister) started living along with their three children at her house in Khichripur area and for the past one year she was being sexually assaulted. A case under relevant provisions of IPC and Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences Act has been registered against the accused who is absconding.
