March 15, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 07:24 am IST - NEW DELHI:

The semi-nude body of a 32-year-old woman was found in South Delhi’s Sangam Vihar on Saturday morning.

According to the police, it was found in a vacant plot with blunt injury on the head. Though the victim’s clothes were found to be in a dishevelled condition, prima facie the police ruled out sexual assault.

“On Saturday around 8 a.m. a passerby found the body lying in a pool of blood and made a call to the police,” the officer said. The woman had a strained relationship with her husband and was living with her two brothers. “The victim’s brothers have named their neighbour who had hit her a few days ago. The neighbour had asked the brothers to sell them their plot, but they refused to sell it,” the official added.
