Two months after five persons including four women of a family were murdered at their residence in Shahdara's Mansarovar Park area, the police said that they have arrested five persons in connection with the case.

Join Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Alok Kumar said that the motive behind the murder appears to be robbery. "Five persons were arrested on Tuesday. They were thoroughly interrogated and prima facie, the motive has been found to be robbery," he said adding that raids are being conducted and there's a possibility of more arrests.

On October 7, five persons including Urmila Jindal, her three daughters Nupur, Anjali and Sangeeta, and security guard Rakesh were stabbed to death at the Jindal residence. The district police were investigating the case from all angles including property dispute that may have been the motive of the murder.

Mr. Kumar said that Rakesh's involvement in the crime is also being investigated.
