Trial run on at Narela underground reservoir

The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Tuesday began trial runs of its newly-constructed 5.8 ML capacity Underground Reservoir cum Booster Pumping Station (UGR/BPS) at Narela.

Owing to the trial runs, the water utility has informed that residents might get muddy water during the initial phases.

Muddy water

“Though the Jal Board will release water from the station only after testing it in the laboratory, residents may still receive muddy water. They are advised to flush any such water if it is muddy,” said a water utility official.

Timing

The trial run of the newly-constructed Underground Reservoir cum Booster Pumping Station at G.T. Karnal road began on Tuesday. It is set to benefit 1.15 lakh residents of the villages in Khampur, Bakoli, Hamidpur, Singhu and Singhola.

The timing of water supply shall be from 5.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., added the official.
