Traffic is priority for me: L-G to CM

Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal has taken suo motu cognizance of newspaper reports that spoke about Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeking a list of traffic bottlenecks from the Chief Secretary by August 15.

The L-G, in a letter to Mr. Kejriwal, apprised him of considerable work that has already been done in this regard as decongestion was “a priority for him”.

“Six task forces were constituted by the L-G in January, each convened by the concerned DCP Range (Traffic) to identify congested corridors and suggest solutions for smooth flow of traffic,” read a statement from Raj Niwas.

The L-G also apprised the Chief Minister that the matter was continuously reviewed at his level.
