Tibetans protest outside Chinese embassy

March 10, 2015 01:53 pm | Updated 01:53 pm IST - New Delhi

Numerous Tibetan refugees on Tuesday staged a protest outside the Chinese embassy here on Tibetan Uprising Day.

Holding Tibetan flags, posters and banners with “Free Tibet” written on them, the protesters gathered at the sprawling lawns outside the embassy and raised pro-freedom slogans.

Some of them also wore black-coloured masks on their faces and had painted the Tibetan flag on their cheeks.

All the protesters were detained by Delhi Police while some were dragged and bundled into buses parked nearby.
