Three murders in Capital in 24 hours

Three cases of murder have been reported from different parts of the Capital during the past 24 hours.

Abdul was allegedly murderedby his brother Irfan at Nihal Vihar on Wednesday night.

Enquiries revealed that there was an ongoing property dispute between the brothers, which led to another round of altercation between them.

Irfan allegedly attacked Abdul with a stick, injuring him seriously, when he allegedly passed some objectionable remarks at their mother. The victim succumbed to the injuries. Based on the complaint, the police arrested the accused.

Lata (40) was stabbed to death allegedly by a relative at Madhu Vihar over a monetary dispute on Wednesday night. The victim was alone at home when accused Satpal struck, killing her on the spot.

In yet another case reported in the early hours of Thursday, Phoolwati was murdered allegedly by her husband Devender at Shahbad Dairy after she refused to pay for his daily dose of liquor.

He later turned himself in to the police.
