A school teacher was stabbed in her abdomen and hand for raising an alarm when three youth allegedly tried to rob her mobile phone in North-West Delhi’s Netaji Subhash Place. The police acted swiftly to nab the three suspects, including a juvenile. One of the suspects has around a dozen such cases registered against him and the police said it was the juvenile’s first crime. “The robbers took away her mobile phone. When she tried to resist and raise an alarm, they stabbed her with a knife on her stomach and hand,” said Vijay Singh, DCP (North-West).

The woman is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Pitampura. According to the police, the 34-year-old teacher’s injuries are not life-threatening. The victim is a government school teacher and lives with her family in North-West Delhi’s Rani Bagh.
