Student death: Manipur CM to meet Yogi

Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh will discuss the death of Manipur youth Parvish Chanam here with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. On Saturday, Mr. Chanam’s family met Mr. Singh and apprised him of the issue.

Mr. Singh also tweeted about the case and tagged Mr. Adityanath.

He tweeted, “President MASAD and family of the late Pravesh Chanam briefing me about the mysterious and brutal killing [sic].”

The Noida Police said they are investigating the matter. The post-mortem report will be sent to the forensic laboratory for further investigation.

A mass protest against the murder of the youth had taken place at Uttar Pradesh Bhawan in New Delhi recently.
