An African student pursuing MSc at a private university here was allegedly harassed by a canteen staff member, the police said.
The student filed a complaint at Knowledge Park police station on Thursday alleging that the accused hurled homophobic slurs. The varsity has issued a show-cause notice to the accused, the Joint Registrar said. A police officer said, “The student gave a complaint but wrote to us later saying matter had been settled mutually.”
