Street vendors celebrate World Food Day in the Capital

A large number of street food vendors under the banner of the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) have started celebrations for World Food Day, the foundation day of the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), in different markets of Delhi and other cities.

The street vendors are asserting that with some protection and promotion, they have the potential to build their enterprise and sustain food security, health and nutrition. The celebrations will continue till October 26.
