A number of children gathered at the Patel Chowk metro station’s Metro Museum on Saturday evening for a unique event.

The Delhi Metro, along with the National Book Trust (NBT), organised a special story-telling session for children, where tales of valour and supreme sacrifices made by Param Vir Chakra awardees were narrated.

The children, mostly belonging to the age group of eight to 12 years, listened to the stories with rapt attention.

Param Vir Chakra is the highest military honour bestowed on those serving in the Armed forces.

The stories narrated are part of the NBT’s ‘Veergatha’ series, which is based on the lives of 21 Param Vir Chakra winners.
