Stolen black buck recovered in Delhi; four arrested

A black buck purportedly stolen from Sanjay Van, a reserved forest area at Partapur, has been recovered in Greater Kailash here. Four young men have been arrested. Acting on a tip-off that some persons were trying to sell a black buck near W-Block Park of Greater Kailash, a team led by the area Station House Officer intercepted the vehicle in which the suspects were travelling. The four were arrested after the black buck was recovered from the car's boot.

The accused were identified as Bhupender, Amarnath, Pintoo and Pawan, all from Meerut. “The three accused had engaged Pawan as a driver,” said a police officer.

During interrogation, they purportedly disclosed that they had stolen the black buck from Sanjay Van and were planning to sell it to someone in the Capital for Rs.1 lakh.The police are trying to ascertain if the accused had other previous involvements.
