Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Managing Director E. Sreedharan on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the high-speed Airport Metro Express line.
During an inspection, Dr. Sreedharan oversaw operation at New Delhi, Shivaji Stadium, Indira Gandhi International Airport and Dwarka Sector-21 metro stations. The functioning of baggage handling facilities, automatic fare collection gates, entrances of the stations and other inter-change facilities for the smooth functioning of the stations were also inspected by him.
The DMRC chief was accompanied by Delhi Airport Metro Express Private Limited (DAMEPL) Director K. P. Maheshwari and other officials of DMRC and DAMEPL.
According to DMRC, all efforts are being made to open the Airport Metro Express line this month itself after getting all necessary statutory safety clearances.
DMRC asked to stop housing project work on Yamuna bank
