Although the speech was almost identical to other speeches he made this past week and though the jokes were the same — boys, old men, middle-aged men and women could be seen laughing at every pun and joke, and cheering loudly at the Arvind Kejriwal rally organised at the GK constituency on Saturday.

“Put your hands up! And welcome Mr. Kejriwal. Nothing can separate you and your future CM,” says Shezad Hindustani, an AAP member who always announces Mr. Kejriwal’s arrival before he gives his speech about the morally corrupt BJP and the inconsequential Congress. However, it is when he gives titbits about himself as the aam aadmi that the crowd erupts with laughter.

“I never say anything without documented proof otherwise I'd get case after case,” says Mr. Kejriwal to loud cheers. “The BJP thinks our mothers and sisters are baby-making machines,” he continues to louder cheers.

After the speech , 10-year old Saurav, who climbed a compound to catch some of the action and got hurt in the process said: “I have seen all this on TV, but I raise my hand and cheer whenever they ask us to. I wish they win.”
