Special counters at Pragati Maidan for filing tax returns

Metro users advised to enter through Gate No. 10

The Income Tax Department has set up special counters for salaried taxpayers to file their returns at Pragati Maidan which will function up to this Sunday, July 31. The counters have been set up at Hall 12 and 12A near Gate 7. Metro users are requested to enter through Gate 10.

On Saturday, the counters are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. while on Sunday they will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Banking facility is also available for those who want to pay tax. Senior citizens and differently-abled persons can file their returns at Mayur Bhavan on the above dates.

For security reasons, bags and brief cases are not allowed inside the halls.

A total of 164 counters have been set up for employees and pensioners of State and Central governments, armed forces, civic bodies, banks and public sector undertakings, schools and colleges.

Sixty counters have also been set up for employees of private firms and companies.
