Some respite from humidity

July 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:34 am IST - NEW DELHI:

While light showers brought down the temperatures in the city, a gentle breeze along with an overcast sky provided Delhiites some relief from the high levels of humidity that the city has been experiencing for the last couple of days.

While the maximum temperature settled at 33.9 degrees Celsius — normal for this time of the year — the minimum was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius, according to the MeT department.

The humidity level oscillated between 63 and 95 per cent. The maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 36.6 degrees Celsius.

While 5.8 mm of rain was recorded in the past 24 hours ending at 8.30 a.m., only traces were recorded in the city during the day.

A generally cloudy sky has been predicted for Monday with light rain and thundershowers in some areas, says the MeT department.
