A 17-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by a 30-year-old Ph.D. scholar at a private school in south Delhi’s Gautam Nagar area. Investigation has begun after a case was registered.

According to the police, the boy, a class 11 student, had filed a complaint at Hauz Khas police station on September 4 after which the FIR was registered. “He alleged that he was sodomised by one Nikhil who is pursuing Ph.D. from the same institution,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ishwar Singh.

The boy alleged that that day he had reached school before time, and so had the accused who allegedly took advantage of the situation.

“We have registered a case under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code and 10 Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act,” said Mr. Singh. The accused has not been arrested so far, the police said.
