Snag hits Metro’s Violet Line

May 06, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 06:02 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Train services between Mandi House and ITO metro stations on the Violet Line were disrupted for several hours during peak morning hours on Thursday, causing inconvenience to many.

Operations between the two stations came to a halt for over four hours. ITO is one of the terminal stations on the line that connects Faridabad to the Capital. Metro officials said the disruption was due to a technical snag being reported on a train at Mandi House — the station before ITO.

“Train services at ITO Metro station were disrupted today between 7.48 a.m. and 11.40 a.m. due to immobilisation of a terminating train at Mandi House station,” said a DMRC official. Regular services resumed from ITO station around noon. Services between Mandi House and Fariadabad’ s Escorts Mujesar station remained normal.
