Sheila hands over Rs.15 lakh cheque to gang-rape victim’s family

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Thursday handed over a cheque for Rs.15 lakh as ex-gratia amount to the father of the deceased victim of the December 16 gang-rape case. The cheque was handed over by Ms. Dikshit to the family at their residence.

The Chief Minister also assured the family all other possible help they needed. She said her government was also exploring the possibility of providing a flat to the family and help in the education of the two sons.

West Delhi Lok Sabha MP Mahabal Mishra and Chief Minister’s Parliamentary Secretary Mukesh Sharma had also accompanied Ms. Dikshit to the victim’s house.
