A 21-year-old alleged robber was killed when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle while attempting to flee after allegedly snatching a phone in south-east Delhi’s Okhla Industrial Area on Friday.
The police said that Sumit Yadav (17) was walking towards C-Lal Chowk when two bike-borne men snatched his phone and fled. “Sumit caught hold of the motorcycle from the back in an attempt to catch them and was dragged along.

“The snatchers stopped the bike at a red light and the pillion rider attempted to flee but was hit by an unidentified vehicle. He died on the spot,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East) Chinmoy Biswal.
The police said that the alleged robber has been identified as Sandeep, a resident of Govindpuri. “The post-mortem is due to be conducted,” said Mr. Biswal.
