With summer setting in and the temperature in the Capital rising by the day, people naturally flock towards water bodies to get some respite from the heat.

With the temperature threatening to touch the 40 degree celsius threshold, Delhiites prepare for hotter days ahead.

Anticipating huge water shortage, Delhi is planning to garner an additional 85 million gallons of water per day — most of it from Haryana — to meet the increasing demand.

Though India Gate is a favourite haunt of families, couple and tourists during the winters, in the summers, the crowds prefer to visit this heritage destination late in the evening or at night when temperatures somewhat cool down.
