Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s helicopter made an emergency landing because of inclement weather at Sevantri village in Rajsamand district on Thursday when she was on her way to Sirohi in southern part of the State. The chopper landed in an open field at Kheda, adjacent to the village.

A spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office here said Ms. Raje and the staff accompanying her were safe. Ms. Raje stayed for some time in the village and paid obeisance in the Roopnarain temple situated nearby.

Ms. Raje and her entourage later left by road for Sirohi, where she had been invited to felicitate three philanthropists for their contribution to revival of a 400-year-old pond in Goyali village panchayat.
