Rains lashed Delhi Tuesday morning bringing with it waterlogging and traffic snarls in several areas.

The showers started at around 9 a.m. bringing the mercury down slightly. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.1 degree Celsius against Monday’s 28.6 degrees.

Traffic snarls have been reported from various areas including Laxmi Nagar, Bhogal, Mori Gate, Dhaula Kuan, Moti Bagh, Badarpur, Ashram Chowk, Saket, Ganesh Chowk and on the flyover near AIIMS.

Vehicular movement was slow in India Gate, Rafi Marg, Ashoka Road, ITO, Kalkaji, Jangpura and Ashram among other places due to rains and subsequent waterlogging.

Water logging was also reported from Mahipalpur village following which traffic coming from Gurgoan and going towards Vasant Kunj has been severely affected.

The Delhi Traffic Police control room received complaints of slow movement of traffic from Bulward Road, Hakikat Nagar and various other areas in East and North Delhi.
