A Western disturbance and associated induced cyclonic circulation would affect North-West India including Delhi and the National Capital Region from Wednesday onwards.
According to Regional Meteorological Centre Deputy Director-General of Meteorology O.P. Singh, rain and thundershowers would occur in Delhi and the NCR from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday evening.
It would cause scattered to flood-warning-system precipitation activity over Western Himalayan region and adjoining plains of North-West India during November 6 and 8.
Rain and snow would also occur at many places over Jammu and Kashmir on November 6 and 7 and at one or two places on November 8. Isolated heavy precipitation may also occur over the State during the period.
Rain and snow would occur at few places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Rain and thundershower would also occur at one or two places over Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi and the NCR.
The day temperatures are likely to fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius and would remain below normal.
After the passage of the Western disturbance, fog conditions would prevail for longer duration over the plains of North-West India for few days from November 9 onwards.
