Rain lashes parts of Delhi

Rain occurred in several areas of the city on Sunday, leading to a rise in humidity level causing discomfort to Delhiites.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled at 28.4 degrees, both a notch above the normal, an official of the MeT department said.

“The Safdarjung observatory, reading of which is considered the official figure for the city, recorded traces of rainfall between 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

“Weather stations at Palam, Ridge, Ayanagar and Lodhi Road recorded 4.4mm, 2.8mm, 18.8mm and traces of rainfall during the same period,” the official said. —PTI
