Even as passengers struggled due to lack of adequate facilities at the New Delhi railway station on Friday, the railway authorities were busy obstructing media personnel from reporting the real situation at their premises.

While Railway Police Personnel stopped a correspondent of a national electronic news channel from covering the festival rush at the New Delhi railway station on Friday, a Travel Ticket Examiner broke the camera of a senior photographer of The Hindu .

The incident occurred when the photographer, along with other photo journalists, was taking pictures of the crowd outside the station building on the Ajmeri Gate side. The photographer was attacked unprovoked. A complaint has been registered with the RPF police post at the station.
