Just a month after three members of a family at Jaitpur were killed over a parking dispute, a 50-year-old property dealer was shot dead in front of his house at Alipur in Outer Delhi over a similar issue.

According to the police, the victim, identified as Rajbir Singh (50), was killed allegedly by his neighbour in front of his house late on Friday night.

Explaining the sequence of events that led to the incident, a police officer said: “Around 10 p.m. on Friday, the victim’s neighbour Prem Rana returned to his house at Alipur in his car and found building material lying in front of his house. The material was being used for some repair work at the victim’s house and the entire road was occupied because of it.”

“Prem Rana wanted to park his car but could not find space. Irked, he asked Rajbir to come out of his house and the two got engaged in a heated argument. Rana asked his son to get a gun from inside the house and then shot at Rajbir. He was hit in his stomach and fell on the ground in a pool of blood,” the officer said.

Hearing the gunshot, locals gathered at the spot but Rana and his two sons had fled away by then, he added.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem.

A case has been registered at the local police station and search has been initiated to nab the three accused.
