With the Delhi Government claiming that the power situation has improved ‘remarkably’, Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung on Friday withdrew restrictions imposed on power supply to malls after 10 p.m., apart from other restrictions about usage of air-conditioners in public offices.
In wake of the damage caused to transmission towers and lines due to the devastating thunderstorm on May 30 and the intense heat wave that increased the power demand, Mr. Jung had imposed three major restrictions on June 8 to reduce peak load.
