A two-page suicide note allegedly written by both Paras Bhasin and his wife Shaily has been given to the police by the latter’s family.
The crushed body of Paras was found along the railway tracks in Ganesh Nagar area of East Delhi on Saturday.
The police are verifying the two-page document in which the couple had purportedly blamed their respective families for the differences. Paras had married Shaily against her family’s wishes and his family had accused Shaily’s father of having hatched a conspiracy to eliminate him.
The police said the fact that Paras and Shaily had to marry in an Arya Samaj temple indicated that the marriage took place without the consent of the families.
In another development, the police claimed that CCTV footages have shown the victim boarding a Delhi Metro train from Subhash Nagar station at 3-22 p.m. on September 1 and came out of the train at the Laxmi Nagar station, close to the area where Paras’ body was found, at 4-11 p.m.
The victim’s family has been claiming that he had left his house in a car.
The police, who have registered a case of murder, said the claims and counter claims made by both the families will be verified.
Analysis of Paras’ call details have revealed that the last call made to him was by a friend and that there were no anonymous calls.
The train which passed through the stretch where the body was found have been identified and the police are trying to zero in on the drivers who were on duty on the day of the incident.
Although the matter is being investigated as a murder, probe in the case is in a nascent stage, said the police and added that they are trying to corroborate all the evidences available.
