Police chief hails verdict

Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik has welcomed the Supreme Court judgment that upheld the death sentence awarded to four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder of December 16, 2012.

‘Feel proud’

“I feel proud that the meticulous investigation carried out in the case by the Delhi Police has been appreciated by the country’s highest court,” Mr. Patnaik told The Hindu on Friday.
