PM’s former media adviser attacked, robbed

The former media adviser to the Prime Minister, Harish Khare, was assaulted and robbed of some cash and his wrist watch by two young men in the Ridge area at Civil Lines in North Delhi on Friday.

Dr. Khare was taking a walk when a young man attacked him around 7.30 p.m.

“When I challenged him, his accomplice joined in. They punched me and robbed me of cash and a wrist watch. I have reported the matter to the area Station House Officer,” said Mr. Khare, former Bureau Chief of The Hindu in New Delhi. He lives on Alipur Road.

A senior police officer said the matter was being pursued with all seriousness.
