Order reserved on AAP’s plea

: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday reserved its order on the application moved by the Aam Aadmi Party government seeking stay on the proceedings on the petitions arising out of its standoff with the Centre on various issues, including that of the powers of the Lieutenant-Governor to appoint bureaucrats in the Capital.

A bench of Chief Justice G. Rohini and Justice Jayant Nath reserved the order on the grounds that since the issues involve a dispute of a “federal nature” between the Centre and Delhi government, it is the Supreme Court which has the exclusive jurisdiction to deal with the matter.
