Police announce Rs. 1 lakh reward for information on Swami Pratibhanand

Even as Pradeep – a young man who had allegedly supplied the firearm used in the murder of realtor Deepak Bhardwaj at a South Delhi farmhouse on March 26 – has been arrested, the police have announced a reward of Rs.1 lakh seeking information on the whereabouts of alleged co-conspirator Swami Pratibhanand.

Pradeep was on Friday produced in a city court along with three other accused Purushottam Rana, Sunil Mann and Amit. The accused was arrested on Thursday after he purportedly disclosed that he had supplied a country-made firearm to Purushottam and Sunil, who allegedly gunned down the 62-year-old businessman. The court sent them to three days’ police custody.

During interrogation, Pradeep told the police that he had procured the firearm from a contact named Manoj, a resident of Uttarakhand. At his instance, a hunt has been launched for him. Searches are also being carried out for Swami Pratibhanand in different of the country.
