To curb absentism, the Baramulla district administration in Jammu and Kashmir has suspended nine of its employees on the ground of remaining absent from duty without prior authorisation.

“Acting upon the directions of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Yasha Mudgal, Tehsildar Baramulla on Thursday inspected offices of Assistant Commissioner Food Safety and Assistant Director CAPD, Baramulla,” an official spokesman said on Friday.

All the absentees were put under suspension by the Deputy Commissioner on the report of the Tehsildar, the spokesman added.
