Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar has signed an agreement with Mumbai-based Unity Infra Projects Ltd. for the development of a new police headquarters building on Parliament Street here. The project is estimated to cost Rs.202 crore.
The agreement will be executed through public private partnership mode on design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis. The project is scheduled to be completed within two-and-half years.
“The building will have a twin-tower block of nine-storey each having interconnecting corridors, a reception lobby and conference room besides other facilities inside the 8.092-acre complex. It will be a modern office building placed around a landscaped court in the centre in conformity with green building norms. The central court will be built over a basement parking lot. The building has been designed to do justice to the rich heritage of the site location,” said an officer.
