New helpline number for Delhi Metro

December 28, 2010 08:46 pm | Updated 08:46 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

The Delhi Metro’s new helpline number will be 155370 from January 1 instead of 155363 as announced earlier.

“Due to some unavoidable circumstances, the Department of Telecommunications had to change the newly allotted telephone number to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. The new helpline number 155370 will be operational from January 1. It will provide better and improved connectivity from Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) mobile connections,” said a DMRC release.

From the same day, the existing Delhi Metro helpline number 128128 will stop functioning. The DMRC had to take this step as it was receiving a number of complaints from commuters that the number does not connect from some GSM/CDMA mobiles.

The new number has been provided with caller ID facility. The officials concerned will be immediately informed about the complaint to ensure that a quick solution is provided.

Mobile users and callers even residing outside Delhi can avail of the service by calling on the number 011-155370. However, calls made on this service are not toll free.
