New garbage collection method for south Delhi

May 12, 2017 01:29 am | Updated 01:29 am IST - New Delhi

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari inaugurated an advanced garbage collection and segregation mechanism for the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) in Green Park on Thursday. He also flagged off a fleet of mobile compactors and auto-tippers for collecting and transporting waste.

“The SDMC has been striving hard to develop Delhi as per the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The initiatives are in tune with the sankalp patra of the party, which has returned to power in the three municipal corporations,” said Mr. Tiwari.

The new system is equipped with an online information management system, customer care centres, control room, GPS, and mobile application for customer biometric machines. The auto-tippers also comply with the National Green Tribunal’s standards on safe disposal of waste.
