Union Railway Minister Pawan Bansal on Sunday flagged-off a 7,500-passenger capacity Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) train between Rohtak and Delhi as an economical and faster means of transport between the two cities and hoped that it would accelerate the pace of development in the region.

Equipped with information system to update passengers about the approaching station, the train will start at 7 a.m. at Rohtak and reach Delhi at 9-15 a.m. On its return journey, the train will reach Rohtak at 6-20 p.m. starting at 3-50 p.m.
Passing through Bahadurgarh, the train will stop at Kishanganj, Vivekanandpuri, Daya Basti, Shakur Basti, Mongolpuri, Nangloi, Mundka, Ghevra, Asaudah, Rohand Nagar, Sampla, Ismaila, Kharawar and Asthal Bohar.
Speaking at the function to flag off the train at Rohtak railway station, Mr. Bansal said the proposed rail links of Gurgaon-Alwar, Hisar-Sirsa and Yamunanagar-Chandigarh will change the face of the State.
Crediting Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda for the present railway link and other projects, Mr. Bansal said that he presented well the case for various projects and took it up earnestly with respective Ministries.
Referring to the rail coach factory proposed in the recent Union Budget, Mr. Bansal said it would be set up in Gohana and the ancillary units would be set up in adjoining districts creating employment opportunities.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the State had bagged several rail projects during the past eight years and several others, including Centre of Excellence in Sirsa, were in the pipeline.
