New chairperson for NCPCR appointed in Delhi

Former Chief Secretary of Rajasthan Kushal Singh has been appointed the chairperson of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).

Ms. Singh was selected by a committee headed by Union Minister for Women and Child Development (WCD) Krishna Tirath.

The new chairperson has held the position of Chairperson Board of Revenue, Rajasthan Pollution Control Board and Commissioner for Disabled Persons, Government of Rajasthan previously.

Ms. Singh was formerly also the Secretary Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, principal secretary for various ministries including Social Welfare and Tribal Area Development, Environment and Social Security, Government of Rajasthan, noted a release issued by the Women and Child Development Ministry on Tuesday.
