A new android app ‘Delhi Election’ can now be downloaded by the city’s voters to search for Voter ID card details. It will help them to find out which Assembly constituency the voter falls under, check application status and to know the voter centre address among other features.

The app has been launched by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi, to facilitate a platform for tech-savvy voters to check the status of their voters IDs.

Meanwhile, just days after the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi, logged into Facebook to create awareness among voters, officials held street plays in several neighbourhoods, debates, slogan programmes and signature campaigns to attract public attention and encourage them to verify names on the electoral rolls.

Officials said that special camps will be organised on Sunday at all polling locations across Delhi for voters’ awareness and enrolment of eligible voters who have been previously left out.
