For over 22 years, the Capital City Minstrels (CCM) have been entertaining audiences in the city with their eclectic performances and showing that a choir does not necessarily have to perform only in churches or sing hymns.

The group is ready for its summer round of performances across three venues in Delhi and Gurgaon. This time, the choir will entertain audiences with a varied selection of pop, rock and world music in a performance titled “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

The CCM plans to showcase its repertoire, which ranges from sacred and classical to contemporary and chart-topping hits in every language. The summer concerts will cater to people of all ages and the show will include song like “Sweet Dreams” by Eurythmics, “It’s Raining Men” by The Weather Girls, “Africa” by Toto, “Royals” by Lorde, “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic and A.R Rahman’s “Jai Ho”, among others.

The choir will be conducted by Carolin Remy and will be accompanied by Nise Meruno on piano, Suchet Malhotra on percussion, Martine Ketterl on recorder, and Jimmy Thang and Hannes Farrenkopf on guitar. The concerts will be held at the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The entry to the event is free. There will be another performance at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, on Thursday at 8 p.m. The event is ticketed.
