A BJP MP from Gujarat has alleged that he was tricked by a woman, who drugged him to shoot obscene videos of him in order to extort money.
The Delhi Police have now registered an FIR based on his complaint.
‘Woman spiked drink’
K.C. Patel, MP from Valsad, said in his complaint that the woman invited him to Ghaziabad where she spiked his drink and shot objectionable videos and photos of him.
Mr. Patel alleged that she blackmailed him to pay ₹5 crore, failing which she threatened to file a rape case against him.
“There’s only one FIR so far. We have filed a case under Section 384 (extortion) of the Indian Penal Code and are investigating the matter,” said a senior police official.
Woman goes to court
The woman, however, approached a city court alleging that the police did not take any action based on her complaint, according to which she had accused the MP of raping her on several occasions.
Sensitive matter: police
The court, meanwhile, has asked the police to submit an action taken report. Mukesh Kumar Meena, Special Commissioner of Police (New Delhi range), said it was a “sensitive matter” and that appropriate action would be taken.
