The three public rallies to be addressed by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the run-up to the Delhi elections will be “simple” and incur “minimum expenses”, according to senior leaders from the State unit of the party.
Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel on Wednesday said that Mr. Modi, who is expected to speak in the Capital on Saturday and subsequently on November 30 and December 1, will focus on highlighting the party’s “positive agenda” for the city. Price rise, power, water, corruption and safety of women will be the main issues and highlighted in the themes and stage backdrops of these rallies, he added.
The party members including BJP national general secretary (organisation) Ram Lal, councillors and Assembly election in-charges met on Wednesday and decided that the rallies will be held in such a manner so as to cover almost all the Assembly segments of Delhi.
While the party candidates from the 10 Assembly constituencies of West Delhi and from Palam and Bijwasan will attend Mr. Modi’s rally in Dwarka on Saturday, the November 30 rally will be held in East Delhi, New Delhi and Chandni Chowk and the one on December 1 will be held at Ambedkar Nagar in South Delhi, said senior leaders.
