A 13-year-old girl who allegedly went missing on Friday was found the same day at Agra railway station. The girl had left her grandparents’ house in north-east Delhi’s Karawal Nagar in the evening and had been missing since then.

The girl’s grandmother approached the police around 11 p.m. stating that the minor had left the house around 6 p.m. and hadn’t returned since. A case of kidnapping was registered, said the police.

Phone traced

“We were told that she had a phone. Using technical surveillance, her location was traced to Agra railway station, after which the grandparents were informed,” said DCP (north-east) Ajit Kumar Singla.

During interrogation, the girl told the police that she had gone for her friend’s birthday party in the evening and when she got late, her grandmother called her to scold her. The girl got angry and left for her parents’ house in Gwalior, said the police.

In another incident, a six-year-old boy, who had allegedly gone missing from his house in Seelampur on Sunday, was found at an Id fair on Monday.
