Miscreants allegedly looted Rs.8.14 lakh from a Odisha Gramya Bank branch at gun-point in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday, the police said.
The incident took place at the Odisha Gramya Bank’s Nichuapada village branch. At least three youths forcibly entered the bank and locked up the manager and two other staff in a room before decamping with Rs.8.14 lakh from the cash counter, Baripada sub-divisional police officer Suresh Jena said.
The police have launched a man-hunt to nab the youths who were speaking in Hindi, Bengali and Odia language, Mr. Jena said adding that none of the employees was injured in the incident. - PTI
