A minor girl was raped by an unidentified man in Sector 44 here.
The seven-year-old girl was playing near a tea kiosk run by her father at a petrol pump on Friday evening when an unidentified man took her away and allegedly raped her. When the girl’s family could not find her, they conducted a search and found her in the neighbourhood. The matter was reported to the police after the girl told her father about the incident.
“The girl went missing around 7 p.m. and was found at 11 p.m by her brother in the nearby colony. A case has been registered and investigation is on,” said a senior police officer at Sushant Lok Police Station.
The girl has been referred to Safdarjung Hospital.
