A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped at knifepoint in Sector 51, Noida, on Sunday.

A senior police officer said the incident took place late on Sunday, when the girl had gone to a shop near her home to buy groceries. On her way home four boys, aged between 15 and 17 years, stopped her.

‘Incident filmed’

“When the girl reached a dark lane, the accused held her at knifepoint. When she resisted, they gagged her and took her to a vacant area and raped her,” a police officer said. He added that one of the accused filmed the incident while two others kept watch outside.

The accused allegedly threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed the incident to someone or lodged a complaint.

They allegedly also threatened her with making the video public. In her complaint, the victim told the police that she was beaten by one of the accused when she tried to flee.

“After the incident, she was left traumatised and did not even speak to her family. She complained of abdominal pain and later narrated the incident to her family. Following this, a case was lodged at the Sector 49 police station and the accused were apprehended.

Gang confesses to crime

When questioned, the accused confessed to the crime. The video was also recovered from one of their phones, the police said.

“The boys have been taken into custody,” said Bijendra Singh Bhadana, Station House Officer, Sector 49 police station.
