Metro services to be curtailed on Diwali

Owing to the Diwali festival, the last Metro train service on Sunday will start at 8 p.m. from terminal stations of all Metro Lines including Airport Express Line (Dilshad Garden, Rithala, Jahangir Puri, Huda City Centre, Noida City Centre, Dwarka Sector-21, Vaishali, Kirti Nagar, Inderlok, Mundka, Central Secretariat, Badarpur and New Dellhi & Dwarka Sec-21 Metro stations of Airport Express Line). While announcing the curtailment of services, the Delhi Metro has stated that train services will run as usual on the rest of the day on Diwali from 6 a.m. onwards on all lines and from 4-45 a.m. on Airport Express Line.

Further, in view of the expected rise in the number of commuters on Tuesday, which is ‘ Bhai Duj’ , the Delhi Metro will keep two extra standby trains on each line to handle the passengers’ rush, if required.

DMRC will also deploy more Customer Facilitation Agents to help and guide commuters on Tuesday. Metro train services on Bhai Duj will be available from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. as usual on all lines and from 4-45 a.m. to 11-30 p.m. on Airport Express Line.
