Metro services delayed on Line 3 during evening rush hour

May 02, 2010 02:57 am | Updated 02:57 am IST - New Delhi:

In the second such incident in two days, metro services on the over-crowded Line 3 were delayed for over 30 minutes from 5-30 p.m. onwards on Saturday. A technical problem caused by sudden rains is said to have caused inconvenience to thousands of commuters during the evening rush hour.

Due to the delay on Trains on Line 3 (Dwarka Sector 9-Noida City Centre/ Anand Vihar), long queues could be seen at Rajiv Chowk Station, one of the busiest intersection stations of the metro network.

The passengers however alleged that trains were running late by about an hour. A track circuit failure had caused a delay in services on Thursday.
